Member Benefits
As a member of Aire Valley Arts you will be part of a successful organisation which regularly exhibits throughout the Aire Valley region of West Yorkshire - and nationally.

You will be an artist working in any artistic fashion provided your work is deemed suitable by the majority of exisiting members - we are in favour of art of a professional or semi-professional nature.

You will have the opportunity to exhibit at future AVA shows, space permitting, where commission is based at 15%. The remaining 85% goes straight to the artist.*

You may gain experience in organising exhibitions, from effectively hanging work to arranging refreshments or curating.

You will be inputting ideas and opinions into the monthly AVA meeting, shaping future exhibitions and events.

You will be encouraged to participate in a culture of possitive artistic criticism and could get practical and theoretical advice on your own developmental work, as well as gaining inspiration from fellow members' work.

How to Join
If you would like to be considered as a new member, please write to Karen at info@airevalleyarts.org.uk.

The Process
To join you are asked to attend one of our monthly meetings, bringing along samples of your work, which you will be required to talk through in an informal and friendly environment. We will then make a decision as a group, and feedback as soon as possible.

We have a policy of equal opportunity to include all minority and disadvantaged groups.

*If artistic projects are gained through group publicity, a 15% commission will only be chargeable if it is a group project - i.e. involving a number of members in a joint activity, and is not chargeable for individual projects.
