Statement
Aware that everything in the known universe is composed of atoms
which are themselves composed of energy fields, and that the distances
between protons and electrons are comparable to distances between
celestial bodies (this matter is mostly 'empty' space), my work
is deliberately ethereal and enigmatic. People and objects interpenetrate
one another, things change from one thing to anther just as everything
changes in Life. As more and more knowledge of the wonderful universe
in which we live becomes available, so I hope my future work will
reflect this knowledge.
Experience
I have been exhibiting since 1958, mostly in Yorkshire, but also
other counties in the UK.
I studied under the inspiring tuition of Colin Saxton at The Bradford
College of Art between 1959 and 1961.
Exhibitions:
Cartwright Hall - Bradford, The Manor House - Ilkley, Bolton Royd
- Bradford.
Paintings held in collections in the UK, France, America and The
Far East.
I have also done teaching work in Art, both in mainstream and adult
education systems. I have also had a gallery and studio in Keighley.
At the present time I am still painting and carrying out scientific
experiments with radio and light waves.
