Our Purpose
Our aim is to create exhibiting outlets for members artworks in the Aire Valley District, in galleries locally and further afield, non-gallery spaces, to encourage interest from the business sector, and to develop community projects/workshops/commissions. We have a policy of equal opportunity to include all minority and disadvantaged groups.

Our Members
Aire Valley Arts usually has between fifteen and twenty members at any one time. The age group has ranged from 18 to 80, which makes for an interesting mix of freshness and experience.

Members possess all kinds of skills and work in all types of media. We are printmakers, painters, sculptors, photographers, digital designers and illustrators. Some members partake in other professions to support their art, others work solely as artists - all sell work in a professional capacity.

The History
Aire Valley Arts was formed on 22nd March, 1995. The first members where brought together by Daniel Paulo and Peter Marsden, two friends working in the Keighley district of West Yorkshire, close to the Aire Valley. They placed an advert in the local newspaper, asking if any local artists would like to set up a group. Originally the group began as a small venture with just a hand full of members.

Almost ten years on Aire Valley Arts has grown dramatically and achieved an impressive reception at venues and festivals alike.
